Sashi-mended by me

Sashi revives the art of hand sewing.

By teaching the traditional Japanese practice of visible mending, Sashiko, Sashi encourages clothing to be cherished, repaired and worn again. What was once seen as just a mending skill can now be enjoyed through an interactive and beautiful toolkit that weaves together decades of cultural heritage. Sashi makes hand sewing simple. It embraces the core craftmanship of sashiko: layered patterns built up of running stitches, by teaching layer by layer with swappable templates. The beauty of sashi lies in the introduction of light. The illuminated lines guide each stitch to emphasise and celebrate the mindful, slow experience of sewing by hand.
